Sustainability is not a marketing claim at Anzhu — it is the operating logic behind every product we make.
For over 18 years, we have built our manufacturing around one premise: the materials that go into a product determine the impact it leaves on the world. That is why we work exclusively with bamboo, wood, and plant-derived materials — resources that grow back, break down, and leave no lasting trace.
Our commitment spans the full production lifecycle. We source only from FSC-certified forests and verified bamboo plantations. Our factory runs on a combination of on-site solar generation and clean grid power. Wastewater is treated and recycled on-site. And every piece we produce—from a cocktail skewer to a full cutlery set—is designed to be fully composted after use, not landfilled.
We believe that disposable should never mean permanent. The products that serve a meal in minutes should not outlast the planet that grew them. At Anzhu, we are building a supply chain that proves eco-friendly and commercially practical are not in conflict—they are the same thing.

AnzhuCraft ESG framework translates three global standards into daily factory practice. Each pillar has a direct operational meaning at Anzhu — not a statement of intent, but a set of measurable commitments.

Replacing plastic at scale. Every product we manufacture is an alternative to single-use plastic. Bamboo decomposes in 90–180 days under industrial compost conditions; plastic persists for over 400 years. By producing more than 100 million pieces per month, we are actively displacing a measurable volume of petroleum-based tableware from the global supply chain. Our factory processes are closed-loop: solar-powered production, zero liquid discharge, and biomass waste reused as fuel.

Livelihoods rooted in renewable land. Bamboo and sustainably managed timber forests support rural employment across Anhui Province and our wider sourcing regions. We work only with suppliers who meet verified labor standards, and we invest in long-term supplier relationships rather than spot sourcing. Internally, our workforce receives above-regional-average wages, skills training, and safe working conditions — because a sustainable business starts with the people who build it.

Transparent, accountable operations. We maintain third-party certifications, including FSC, ISO 9001, and food-safety compliance across all product lines. Our ESG data — energy consumption, emissions, waste volumes, and supplier audit results — is disclosed annually in our ESG Responsibility Report. We do not make environmental claims that we cannot substantiate with documentation, and we invite customers and partners to audit our supply chain directly.
A product's environmental record begins long before a consumer picks it up — it begins in the soil where the raw material was grown.
Our bamboo and wood products biodegrade completely in 90 to 180 days under standard composting conditions, leaving behind only water, carbon dioxide, and organic matter. Unlike bioplastics, which often require industrial facilities to break down, our products are genuinely compostable in commercial and municipal systems. There are no hidden synthetic coatings, no PFAS treatments, and no microplastic fragments left in the soil.
Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants on earth, reaching harvestable maturity in three to five years compared to decades for hardwood timber. Our moso bamboo is sourced from managed stands that do not require replanting after harvest — the root system regenerates naturally. Sugarcane bagasse, used in our plate range, is an agricultural byproduct that would otherwise be incinerated. We turn waste streams into functional products.
Key production stages at our facility are powered by on-site solar panels and verified clean grid electricity. We use low-temperature pressing and molding techniques that reduce energy consumption by approximately 50% compared to conventional plastic injection molding. Process heat is recovered and reused. No chemical bleaching agents are used in our bamboo or wood finishing — only food-safe mineral treatments where required.

14 automated production lines deliver a combined monthly output exceeding 100 million pieces. Automation reduces material waste from human handling error and allows tighter dimensional tolerances — meaning less raw material per finished unit. Lines are configured for bamboo and wood tableware with minimum changeover waste between SKUs.

All core production processes run on 100% renewable electricity, drawn from our roof-mounted solar installation and certified clean grid sourcing. Energy meters are monitored in real time and reported quarterly. We are working toward full-site renewable coverage by 2026, including warehouse, office, and logistics operations.

We audit raw material suppliers against FSC chain-of-custody standards and conduct annual on-site reviews. Packaging across our product range uses recycled kraft paper and water-based inks. For international orders, we consolidate shipments and work with freight partners who report and offset cargo emissions — reducing the carbon footprint of delivery, not just production.

We partner with customers, distributors, and industry associations to promote sustainable material standards in the foodservice and hospitality sectors. Our team participates in regional environmental education initiatives and shares production knowledge through open factory visits. We see every customer relationship as an opportunity to extend the impact of sustainable sourcing further along the value chain.
We publish specific, time-bound targets rather than general aspirations. Progress against each goal is reviewed annually and disclosed in our ESG Responsibility Report.
Our annual ESG Responsibility Report provides full disclosure of our environmental performance, social impact, and governance structure. We publish this report not because it is required, but because we believe customers and partners deserve a clear, honest picture of how the products they buy are made.
"Sustainability without transparency is just branding."
